Marriage & Partnership Guidance

A private consultation for people inside a marriage or long partnership who are carrying a question they would rather not discuss with family or friends.

One-to-one · By WhatsApp or phone · Private & discreet

What this consultation is

Long partnerships hold history, family, obligation and affection in the same space. When something goes wrong in one of those areas, it rarely stays contained, and the question that results is seldom simple.

This is a private marriage consultation: a place to describe the partnership as it actually is, including the parts involving relatives, expectation, money, culture and years of accumulated silence. From there we discuss traditional African spiritual perspectives on partnership, harmony, obligation and timing, alongside plain reflection on your own options.

It is spiritual relationship consultation and personal guidance. It is not marriage counselling, mediation or legal advice, and it does not replace any of them.

Who this may be appropriate for

People come at very different stages — some early in a difficulty, some after years of it.

  • Communication has broken down

Conversations either stop short or escalate, and you no longer know how to begin one that goes anywhere.

  • You are uncertain about commitment

Whether to marry, whether to stay, whether to try again. The decision has been circling for a long time.

  • Reconciliation is on the table

After a separation or a serious rupture, you are weighing what returning would realistically ask of you.

  • Family or cultural expectation weighs on the partnership

Relatives, obligation and tradition are part of the pressure, and most advice you receive ignores that entirely.

What a consultation involves

The conversation follows your account. It usually runs longer than people expect, because the whole picture takes time to lay out.

  1. The history, not just the incident

How the partnership began, what changed, and when. Patterns are easier to see across time than in a single argument.

  2. Everyone who is actually involved

Children, parents, in-laws, finances. Marriages are rarely under strain in isolation.

  3. Traditional perspective on partnership

What African spiritual traditions have held about union, obligation, harmony and separation — offered for reflection rather than instruction.

  4. Your realistic options

What each path would ask of you, described honestly, including the paths you may not want to hear about.

What you can expect

No side is taken for you

The consultation is not there to confirm that you are right. It is there to help you see the situation clearly.

Room for the whole story

Including the parts that reflect poorly on you. Nothing you say is judged or repeated.

No pressure to stay or to leave

That decision is yours alone, and it will not be made for you or hurried.

A clearer next step

Often small — a conversation to have, a boundary to set, a question to sit with.

Limitations and ethical boundaries

No consultation can guarantee a marriage, a reconciliation, a proposal or a partner's fidelity. Another person's choices remain their own, and nothing offered here claims to change them.

This is not couples counselling, family mediation, divorce advice or psychological care. Where those are needed, they should be sought from licensed professionals, and a consultation can sit alongside them rather than in place of them.

If there is any risk to your safety, that is a matter for appropriate authorities and support services first.

Privacy and discretion

Many people consulting about a marriage do so without their partner's knowledge, and that is understood.

Privacy and discretion are important to the consultation experience: what you share is treated with care and is never published or quoted in marketing. If you would prefer to be contacted only at certain hours, or only by message rather than by call, say so at the outset and that is how it will be handled. Our privacy policy sets out how information is handled in practice.

How information is handled is described in the privacy policy.

  3. 3 · The consultation

The history, the people involved, and traditional perspective on partnership and obligation.
